Wild ONE Lafayette, LA Family Photographer

Well, when I met this sweet boy months ago, my first thought was Max…. like from Where the Wild Things Are.  Looks like his parent had the same thought 🙂 I loved that book growing up, and read it often to my 3 children.  I often say to my kids “I will eat you up, I love you so.”  I have been wishing for the day that a client would have this as their cake smash theme.

I had the privilege of capturing Max’s first birthday party today.  The details were off the chart!  Seriously, I think his momma should get into the party planning business.  It made me want to have another baby just to throw an amazing first birthday just like this.

Max is so loved by so many.  His grandfather made the Max cutout.  The cookies and cake pops were made by his uber talented grandmother (can you adopt me!!!)  His cake was made by the super talented Piece of Cake Lafayette.

I snapped some images before the guests arrived, and we shot some portraits of Max and some with his brother Jude.  When it was time for cake, it got serious!!  This boy LOVES cake.  And who could blame him… that cake looked so tasty!

I loved capturing this beautiful family’s important milestone.  First birthday parties are just as precious to me as weddings are.  The love, the moments, the memories…. just make me so happy.
