Krystal Maternity Session, Lake Martin Louisiana Photographer

Krystal and Jance have prayed for this life for many years.  Their oldest will be 9 years old when this precious gift is born.  I normally see Krystal rocking her scrubs, so this was such a different way for me to view her.  Dolled up and rocking her inner goddess.

I always offer my guidance, if needed, for wardrobe choices.  I also have a variety of dresses for my clients to use if they want.  Being friends with your photographer has it’s perks for sure, as I tagged along with Krystal to shop for the perfect dress for her session.  We knew that we wanted to shoot at Lake Martin, and capture all the gorgeous Louisiana scenery.  I wanted a dress that she could twirl in, something feminine, and I think we found the most perfect dress.  It was from Altar’d State.  It’s been a long time since I went to the mall to shop for grown up clothes.  Having 3 littles, I rarely go to the mall.  And if I do it’s to run into Children’s Place to catch their sale lol.  So I was blown away by the collection of clothes at Altar’d State (and I was more than happy to find out that they have a separate website dedicated to the voluptuous crowd!).

Our session date was a gorgeous one, and not too too hot.  The light played thru the trees creating the most amazing beams of light around my dear friend.  I love how the water out at Lake Martin looks nearly like liquid gold come sunset.  It is breath taking.
